TaiDing New Energy’s third Fire Safety Knowledge Competition in 2025 has concluded, sparking new innovations at the intersection of safety and AI.
As the centerpiece of the company’s 2025 “119 Fire Safety Publicity Month” series of events, Taiding New Energy’s third Fire Safety Knowledge Competition officially kicked off following meticulous planning and preparation. To ensure a well‑rounded selection of participants, an initial fire safety knowledge assessment was administered to all employees, drawing over 400 enthusiastic entries. Through this innovative “AI blind‑box test,” eight teams comprising 24 outstanding contestants were ultimately chosen to take part in the competition, which was held on November 22.
At the event’s opening, each participating team delivered a vibrant and captivating showcase of their individual flair. Drawing on their departmental characteristics and practical work experience, the teams unveiled uniquely creative team names and slogans, fully embodying an upbeat, spirited, and highly motivated demeanor.
This competition innovatively introduced the AI digital host “Xiao An” to provide live coverage of the entire event. The contest featured a diverse array of question formats, spanning four major modules: individual mandatory rounds, team mandatory rounds, team buzzer‑in challenges, and the “Smart Creation Vision: AI Video‑Use Showdown.” Each stage was tightly linked, unfolding in a tense yet orderly manner, keeping the atmosphere on the field steadily heating up.
The competition content is closely aligned with the core principles of fire safety, covering a wide range of topics including fire safety knowledge, occupational safety management systems, relevant laws and regulations, safe operating procedures, and emergency response measures. It not only comprehensively assesses contestants’ theoretical understanding of safety but also places particular emphasis on evaluating their practical skills and innovative thinking.
In terms of format, the event featured bold innovations, with a specially designed AI video‑competition segment emerging as a standout highlight. Each team filmed a thematic video in advance, exploring “AI application scenarios and outcomes in real‑world work.” Representatives from each group then took the stage to explain how they integrated AI agents into their specific roles and workflows, forging “digital partnerships” to handle repetitive tasks, streamline collaborative processes, and multiply operational efficiency while focusing on value‑driving outcomes. This thoughtful design not only boosted overall participation but also provided a vivid showcase of each team’s AI‑driven approaches and video‑creation skills, making the competition both informative and innovative.
On the competition stage, the participants put their solid knowledge and quick adaptability to the test, engaging in a fierce battle of intellect and wit. In the end, three colleagues from the Battery Cell Business Unit stood out with outstanding performances and clinched the championship, while the Battery Cell R&D Center and the Module Business Unit took second and third place, respectively.
At the conclusion of the competition, General Manager of Operations and EHS Representative, Mr. Zhang, delivered a summary and commentary.
He began by fully commending the competition’s organizational and preparatory efforts, praising the participating teams for their uniform attire and spirited demeanor, which vividly showcased their team spirit. He particularly highlighted that the “Smart Creation Vision: AI Video Application Showdown” segment demonstrated a strong sense of innovation, aligning with the company’s annual strategy of “Embracing AI” while effectively illustrating the practical outcomes of AI‑assisted workflows across various roles. At the same time, he noted the need to further anchor the content in the core theme of “fire safety” to deepen its relevance. With regard to refining the competition, General Manager Zhang emphasized the following requirements: scientifically calibrate the difficulty gradient of the questions, appropriately allocate scores and weighting to each stage, and ensure the event is both fairer and more instructive.
This fire safety knowledge competition not only provided employees with a platform to showcase their skills but also fostered learning and practice through competition, thereby promoting the in-depth study and widespread dissemination of safety knowledge throughout the company.
Looking back at the evolution of the Taiding New Energy Safety and Fire‑Protection Knowledge Competition, its scope has expanded from an initial focus on rote knowledge to a comprehensive assessment that now encompasses occupational health, hazardous‑chemical management, and other critical dimensions. The inclusion of hands‑on, practical challenges has further anchored safety principles in real‑world application. At the beginning of the year, the Group launched a technological transformation centered on AI agents, sparking a wave of exploration across Taiding. From our early stages of experimentation and familiarization with AI agents to the “human‑AI intellectual showdown” featured in this year’s first‑half competition—and the visions we’ve articulated for future applications—we have come to recognize more clearly that AI agents are not competitors in the workplace, but rather trusted partners.
In this competition, participants focused on the practical applications of AI agents, using their roles as their canvas and hands-on experience as their brush to vividly demonstrate AI’s value across diverse fields. They fully highlighted AI’s efficiency in supporting work processes, providing a compelling real-world example of how it can drive the integrated development of enterprise safety management and technological innovation.
